Bee hotel building workshops are planned to take place in July and August 2025, in a fully equipped workshop TBA. The Bee Hotels will be built using recycled materials. So if you have any of these materials or know someone who does, don’t throw them away! Send us an email or contact us through our social media!

  • Pine/carob branches (not less than 20cm long, various diameters)
  • Eucalyptus branches (not less than 20cm long, various diameters)
  • Reeds of various sizes (not less than 20cm long, various diameters)
  • Other wood (like pallets or plywood) that can be repurposed for the structure
  • Around 10 wooden stakes (around 1.5m, or other sizes that can be fastened together)

Once the Bee Hotels are built and placed in the field, they will become part of an exciting research initiative. These structures will be used to study the behaviour of pollinators and their interactions with the hotels.
