The Foundation is delighted to share that we it has been invited to take part in the Festa Fjuri 2026 organised by L-Iklin Local Council, for the second consecutive year running!
Join us on Saturday 16th May from 10.30-10.50am at Ġuże Ellul Mercer Street and Ninu Cremona Square in Iklin for a 20-minute talk by the Foundation’s administrator Dylan Farrugia, to find out more about the remarkable insect behind one of Malta’s most treasured natural products; the Maltese Honey Bee (Apis mellifera ruttneri). This unique subspecies, endemic to the Maltese Islands, is also proudly recognised as Malta’s National Insect.
