Press Release | Happy World Bee Day!

After months of planning and hard work, the Foundation is thrilled to launch its new educational video titled “𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗲” as part of the National Insect Initiative. Various aspects of the Maltese Honey Bee are explored, including its unique biodiversity, the historic connection to the Maltese islands, challenges it is facing, and its future prospects.

A heartfelt thank you to all the contributors who made this project a reality; Saviour Bonnici, Chris Gatt and Prof. Michael Spagnol as part of the production team; & interviewees Joseph Calleja, Simone Cutajar, Arnold Grech, David Mifsud, Michael Muscat and Jorge Spiteri. A shout-out to the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector for their invaluable support.
